International Investment Bank seeks a Management Information Analyst. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience of Defect Management and have a strong appreciation of Functional Testing. - The candidate must be able to hit the ground running as they will be joining a project at a critical stage where it is essential that things move quickly. You may have up to four external reports. To assist in the development of the Operational Risk Reports for the new OPUS Application being implemented across the bank. There are currently 15 reports being developed. To update and manage any changes required to the operational reports., such as the specifications. To understand the new System enabling the validation of the logic and content of the reports through to the production of the UAT Test Scripts. To document the Operation Risk Reporting for distribution with the go-live reports, including training material/ guidance where required. Where necessary assist in the development of the MI Operating Model. To assist in the handover to BAU MI resource as part of project closure/ handover. Main Accountabilities and approximate time split. To work alongside the businesses to identify their operational risk reporting requirements; work with the report writers, who will be externally resourced Cognos experts to ensure the accuracy and presentation of the reports is delivered to the requirements. Provide support to the MI Workstream manager. Produce documentation, covering: Updates to report specifications as required. Test scripts, Definition of test data, Execution of tests, Co-ordination of cluster users performing tests, Recording of test results and progression of defects, Creation of user and training documentation, To support the implementation of the reports and extracts, including managing any post-live issues, Assist in the development of a handover plan. Competencies, Communication / Influence. Ability to rapidly assimilate and understand the OPUS data model and Application, Good understanding of Cognos (CommandCenter and Report Net) and a basic understanding of SQL/ XML, Good understanding of Management Information implementations and lifecycles. Competence in test definition and test execution. Good understanding of Operational Risk, and hence the business significance of the supporting MI reports/ extracts. Experience of working within a Financial Services environment; management of SOX and Operational Risk, and hence the business significance of the supporting MI reports/ extracts
