London and Perl and Unix and Mobile (WML & JME). My client is a leading media group who require a Perl engineer to write and test software code, written in Perl for a Unix platform. The role will involve re-engineering & refactoring of existing software products as well as building new backend productions systems and web applications. Essential skills include Perl (mod_perl a preference); Apache modules, XML, XHTML, SQL databases and UNIX. Beneficial skills include Javascript,t/ mobile technologies and development trends is welcomed. A wider exposure to software languages such as Ruby, Python and PHP would also be beneficial.
