Financial – London – Salary up to £65K with excellent benefits. (see below) may go higher on the base for exceptional candidate.

Our clients business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our clients IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivative swaps and fixed income products. Our client wishes to directly recruit a SWIFT Middleware Specialist to monitor the ongoing workload and performance of systems to ensure they continue to provide the highest standards of service. You will be required to ensure that co-ordination and communication between the helpdesk and the technical second/ third level support teams is maintained in system critical situations. Ensure all documentation is maintained, evaluate standards and processes that the support team is involved with and highlight any areas of improvement, implement and maintain out-of-hours support in the team as appropriate. Working with the IT development teams, where relevant, to ensure that appropriate support is provided for new applications and services. You will work, where relevant, with the BCCP/ Security team to ensure effective security measures are being implemented and developed and updated Security policies. Also to ensure disaster recovery procedures are in place and regular testing, reporting and planning updates are undertaken.

Technical skills:
Essential
• 5 years or more experience of administrating SWIFT services (SAA, SAG, CREST gateway)

Desirable:
• BEA Weblogic, BEA Aqualogic, Apache & ITIL (preferably holding the Service Management Foundation Certificate), Websphere MQ series.

Required Skills & Experience:
• Experience of working in a high availability Production environment
• Solid problem solving skills.
• Ability to deliver service excellence with minimum supervision.
• Experience of supporting highly available, business critical systems in a financial environment.
• Solid understanding and experience of Best Practice Frameworks & Standards.
• Very strong technical skill set is required to provide service delivery (typically holding certification).
• Ability to Build & develop sustainable & repeatable processes to ensure the resilience & availability of systems. Identifying opportunities for improvement that will enable a better level of service or cost saving.

Salary circa: up to £65K with 26 days holiday, pension, life and health assurance, medical scheme, subsidised gym membership, season ticket loan, bonus.
