Our client has is currently seeking an IT Services Engineer to join a small team of four people to support and maintain internal IT and web hosting systems. You will be required to participate in development projects and provide technical support to users of our clients programs.
The key areas of this role will be,
Support and Maintenance of PCs, Printers and other IT equipment
Deploy and Support Software
Working alongside external contractors to support and maintain SAN and Oracle databases
Support and maintain clustered web application servers
System Security
Test the installation and performance of web based programs
Provide general technical support
The candidate we are seeking for this role will hold an MCSE or equivalent qualification. You will have knowledge of hosting and maintaining Oracle AS and Oracle database servers, experience in supporting Microsoft Networks, Familiarity with MS Office including exchange and SQL Server as well as a strong level of general IT Support.
Our client offers a salary in the region of £28,000 plus excellent benefits including final salary pension scheme. You must have excellent communication skills and flexibility with regard to working hours.
