3G layer 1 mobile radio - Permanent Engineer - Munich
Responsibilities:
In close cooperation with internationally active software and hardware development teams, you will specify, design and implement hardware-level software systems for mobile radio test equipment in layer 1. You will verify their functionality by performing simulations and measurements on the target hardware. You will familiarize yourself with existing systems, develop expansions and design new system components. Using modern methods and tools, you will also participate in the requirements analysis and the design of the overall equipment, the preparation of make-or-buy decisions and the search for synergies. You will actively and continuously provide support in quality assurance and product maintenance measures. Your technical know-how, experience and personality will help you to assume a leading position in technical matters to support the team.
Requirements:
. Expertise in the field of mobile radio, especially layer 1 and 2 for 3GPP
. Knowledge of communications system theory as well as experience with communications protocols
. Technical knowledge of object-oriented software development and software quality assurance
. Experience in channel coding and digital estimation methods
. Background in the object-oriented C#, C++ programming languages as well as experience in MATLAB
. desirable
. Self-directed, self-reliant and goal-oriented approach to work
. Excellent team player with strong job commitment and communicative skills
. Cross-cultural skills, flexibility as well as self-confident manner
. Willingness to travel frequently, also internationally
. Excellent written and spoken English
