Working in Abu Dhabi

The working week in the UAE is similar to that of many other countries. Those who work in Abu Dhabi usually work five days a week from 9am to 5pm. Unlike the UK however Friday is usually the day of rest and Saturday is the second day off.

The dress code for business is similar to that in the UK and Europe. Despite the heat men are expected to wear suits with a shirt and tie and women are expected to wear formal office attire.

The closer you are to the Corniche (the main road next to the sea), the more you are likely to pay, and if you choose to live further away from the main city and general amenities, prices can be substantially less expensive.
