THE TEAM

The successful candidate will work as part of the Retention Optimisation team, whose job it is to improve the performance of Betfair’s marketing. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, driven candidate with a real passion for Betfair and strong numerical / data capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

•Assisting in the objective analysis of marketing campaign and promotions; using the results to improve performance future activity and drive ROI from marketing spend
•Reporting on retention marketing and other promotional activity, using control cells where applicable
•Working with Marketing Segmentation and Data teams to help implement optimal campaigns on a day by day basis
•Analysing campaign plan options and projecting yield
•Highlighting commercially successful and unsuccessful campaigns
Other responsibilities:
•Provide support to the Marketing Optimisation Manager and the wider Retention Optimisation team

Key working relationships:

•Reports to the Marketing Optimisation Manager
•Other members of commercial analysis team, particularly the Segmentation team
•Marketing segment managers and executives
•Commercial Finance and Business Intelligence teams

THE MUST HAVES (skills and knowledge)

•Keen interest in sports and betting
•Strong numerical capability
•Strong data interpretation capabilities – can understand relationships between high volumes of complex data, reach insightful conclusions, and articulate the results to audiences at different levels
•Drive and determination, keen to learn, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fluid organization
•Effective prioritisation skills and an ability to perform well under pressure
•Strong working knowledge of Excel

THE NICE TO HAVES

•Background in betting, gaming or financial industries
•Knowledge and experience of applying statistical modelling techniques (such as Regression or CHAID)
•Working knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Mining tools, eg Microsoft BI, Business Objects, SPSS, PL/ SQL
