UK Market Modelling Manager

As one of four members of our specialist Asset Strategy team, you’ll work independently to shape and define future strategy for RWE npower. Accountable for comprehensive strategic analysis of the UK wholesale electricity market, you’ll deliver pragmatic, innovative ideas and hypotheses, produce trends and recommend opportunities for growth or change.

Presenting your findings to senior managers and key stakeholders, you’ll work collaboratively and respectfully with the business to secure their buy-in to your suggested courses of action. As a pivotal member of a small team of experts, you’ll benefit from the opportunity to gain a unique level of exposure to diverse areas of work.

To be equal to the challenge, you’ll need an impressive track record of relevant experience, either in the industry or as a consultant. Qualified to degree level in a numerate subject, you are a gifted analyst and modeller with a proven ability to investigate and quantify broad strategic questions using complex models. You have demonstrable experience of analysing and structuring the energy market / value chain. Naturally, you’ll also demonstrate the gravitas to engage board level contacts in challenging discussions.
