The Database Administrators at Sage Pay have responsibility for all of the Sage Pay databases including the payment gateway, billing and CRM systems and all of the supporting systems too. This role is split between the development and design phase to ensure 2 things. Firstly, that there is a robust database in place that optimises all of Sage Pay's capabilities. Secondly, that the real time issues are monitored, and any issues rectified straight away.

To perform within this role you will need to have extensive knowledge of SQL Server, ideally holding the MCTS qualification, and being comfortable with relational databases and database design methodologies. We need you to take a methodical approach to your work, and have a real eye for problem solving within the workplace.

Some of the areas that experience in would be a real differentiator are; Oracle, Sybase, Access, Linux, Lamp, Apache, Tomcat-and especially Service Broker.
