The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS) has the object of promoting scholarship and learning of Muslim cultures and societies, historical as well as contemporary, and a better understanding of their relationship with other societies and faiths.

The Department of Curriculum Studies is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to assist in the construction and publication of curriculum materials for secondary level students.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager will include planning, developing and maintaining systems and processes for curriculum construction, including: conceptualisation, design and development of curriculum publications in the form of textbooks, teachers’ guides and resource packs, translation of the publications and curriculum evaluation. Responsibilities will include developing short-term and long-term objectives and strategies, preparing and managing Project Initiation Documents, project plans, budgets, risk registers and resource requirements. The post holder will also be expected to track projects, manage risks, suggest corrective actions, contribute to the recruiting and management of appropriate human resource expertise and prepare periodic highlight reports to the department and Board of Governors.

The role holder will have experience as a project manager and have worked on multi-tiered projects preferably linked to the production and/ or publishing of academic or other educational materials. A sensitivity to working with organisations in cross-cultural contexts will be required.
