Web Application Developer – PHP
Location: Leeds
Salary: £24,000 - £27,000
My client is at the forefront of technology and innovation in sports entertainment and betting. They are currently looking for a Web Application Developer to join their team in Leeds.
The successful candidate will be working with industry professionals in a range of disciplines including technical development, statistics, bookmaking and business development. You will possess experience developing high performance and scalable code built on a Web 2.0 LAMP stack and a full understanding of object orientation. This role would suit an experienced, hands-on and results driven developer.
Responsibilities:
• Front end - developing the companies range of sports and ZonePlay framework built on AJAX, jQuery, HTML and CSS. Developing the front end website built on PHP.
• Back end - developing the back end trading system, reporting systems, API development and integration.
Essential Skills:
• PHP
• Strong understanding of OO
• JavaScript, Jquery, AJAX
• HTML & CSS
Desirable:
• Database and SQL optimisation
• LAMP configuration
• Java
• XML
• MVC
• Unit testing
This is an exciting, challenging and ultimately rewarding opportunity for the right individual to join a very experienced team of developers working on a PHP code base in continuous development for 10 years.
