Job Description

We are seeking a passionate front end web designer to join a busy online design team in Bristol, working closely with the creative web lead.

As an in-house team at Atkins, one of the largest engineering and design firms in the world, the environment is fast, fulfilling and offers loads of scope for creativity.

Requirements

To qualify, you should be should be fully versed in Adobe CS5. Collaborating with like-minded designers and developers, it will be your creative input that ensures clients receive visually stunning work delivered on time and to the highest and tightest standards.

You should showcase a strong portfolio, ideally biased towards web, rich-media and mobile / touch technology.

In addition the successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills / experience:
•A sufficient level of experience of working in a similar role
•An understanding of web design and W3C standards
•Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail
•Ability to work within a team
•The ability to work under pressure, multi-task and have proven success in meeting tight deadlines
•Possess excellent interpersonal skills
•Fluent in HTML and CSS
•An understanding of Javascript, Flash and ActionScript would be advantageous

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will be:

•Create and produce outstanding designs for digital projects
•Oversee the full project lifecycle from conception through to launch
•Understand and develop design briefs
•Brainstorming ideas for new pitches
•Ability to deal with clients to extract requirements
•Ability to cover multiple projects and work streams in a fast-paced environment
•Extensive interface design experience
•Experience of creating detailed wireframes and user journeys
•Experience working with a style guide
•An excellent eye for detail and consistency

Right to Work

The UK Government intends to reduce net migration to the UK by limiting the number of overseas workers from outside the EEA coming to the UK for employment.
